THE AIM  OF THE  CONFERENCE

In recent years there has been a significant progress in the field of mechanical engineering, however the increase of industrial products’ competition capacity and the insurance of national products’ European compatibility are counted among the most important assignments in the future too. Technical regulations involve all regulations regarding production, launch, utilization of goods, furthermore providing and receiving of services in respect of life, health, environmental and customer protection.
 

Our welding conferences traditionally aim to introduce the latest results of the new technical safety regulations and to compare the domestic and international developments. An emphasized role of these discussions is to provide an opportunity for young welding specialists obtained the title EWW and EWT to hold a presentation. The further object of the conferences is to contribute to the care of the specialists’ professional-amicable relationships and to the forming of new relationships.

Organizers dedicate the international conference to honour Prof. Dr. József Farkas on the occasion of his 80th birthday. With this conference the welding community expresses sience esteem to Professor József Farkas for training generations of engineers.

MAIN TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE:

  • new perspective regarding technical safety regulations, experiences of the application of EU directives;
  • manufacturers’ responsibility in the new technical safety regulations, 

  • security, labour safety, ergonomy and humanization of welding

The 30 minutes plenary lectures of the speakers invited by the Program Committee and the 15-20 minutes presentations constitute the basis of the technical program. The Program Committee provides possibility for firms’ presentations (promotion) too – for extra fee.

It is possible to apply for giving presentations on the enclosed application form, by filling in the title and short content. You are requested to send the filled application form back to the Organizing Committee until February 29, 2008. The Program Committee will inform you in two weeks about the acceptance of the presentation. The deadline of the presentations’ manuscripts for the appearance in the CD publication is March 31, 2008. The Program Committee doesn’t take responsibility of the content of the presentations, and hereby calls the applicants’ attention to the keeping of copyright. 
 
The official languages of the conference are Hungarian and English, the Organizing Committee takes charge of simultaneous translation. After the presentations, there will be a possibility for professional discussion and for posing remarks. On the venue of the conference, participants will get the summary of the presentations sent by the speakers and the CD publication containing the edited papers. In case of need, in the CD publication, there is a possibility for publishing of firm and product. For more information, contact: www.bmf.hu/hegkonf2008
 
During the conference we can provide possibility for disseminating flyers, brochures, publications on an information desk, and for arrangement of individual consultations.

 

DURATION, VENUE, ACCOMODATION

The conference will be held from May 15 (Thursday) till 17 (Saturday), 2008. The event will be located at Budapest Tech (H-1034 Budapest, Bécsi út 96/B).
 
Participants arrange their accomodation themselves and cover the expenses. Organizers help with providing information on possible accomodations (www.bmf.hu/hegkonf2008).

 

REGISTRATION FEE

 

  • The registration fee of the conference:                                    65.000,- Ft+VAT/person
  • The reduced registration fee for the individual members of GTE and for the workers of legal member company and of member company MHtE:                                  60.000,- Ft+VAT /person

  •   The fee for students, PHD students:                                      40.000,- Ft+VAT /person.

 

The registration fee contains the final program including the abstracts, the CD, refreshments in the breaks, lunch on 16th and 17th May. The Organizers invite the registered participants for a reception on Thursday, May 15.
